“In supper clubs, sometimes well-known chefs, sometimes passionate amateurs, invite a small number of people to dine with them in a private space.” I’m firmly in the latter category, having initially learnt to cook from family and friends. I constantly get new ideas from cookery books, magazines and the internet to add to my established repertoire of old favourites. Brought up in Singapore, I’ve lived in Morocco and Italy and have travelled to over 30 countries; I’ve always been fascinated by the diversity and richness of different culinary traditions. Current interests are Moroccan tagines and the recipes of Yotam Ottolenghi. I also get a lot of satisfaction from growing my own vegetables and using them for supper club menus. I hope to welcome you to a supper club soon! – John.
